Antonio Gómez-Guillamón Manrique
Head of AERTEC Solutions.
Born in Malaga in 1966, Antonio is the co-founder and head of AERTEC Solutions. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1992), and pursued further studies in Senior Management at the San Telmo International Institute (2002). His career began at CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA), and later he worked at Gamesa Aeronáutica. In late 1997, he co-founded the aeronautical engineering company AERTEC Solutions, alongside his partner and cousin Vicente Padilla, in a business incubator at the Andalusia Technology Park. Initially, the company’s only employees were its two founders.
Today, the company has over 680 employees, 80% of whom have university degrees, and has references in more than 130 airports worldwide. It is involved in many of the major aeronautical programmes currently being developed in Europe, and is a Tier 1 supplier to the Airbus Group for manufacturing engineering services and management of both civil and military programmes. AERTEC Solutions has project references in more than 40 countries, and has permanent branches in the United Kingdom, Germany, Colombia, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
Antonio is the Chairman of Andalucía Aerospace, the cluster of aerospace companies in Andalusia. In 2015 he received the Andalusian medal on behalf of AERTEC Solutions, an honorary distinction awarded annually by the Regional Government of Andalusia. In 2005 he received the National Young Entrepreneur Award, which is awarded every two years by the Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, and is presented by the Prince and Princess of Asturias.
