Marta Fuentes del Castillo
Corporate Director of People Transformation at the Santalucía Group
A strategic and versatile leader with relevant experience in Digital Transformation, Operations, Business Development and Human Resources, my career has been developed in multinational environments in logistics services for the FMCG and automotive supply chain, as well as in the digital startup environment and lately in the insurance sector. I have had responsibilities as a member of senior executive teams and on boards of directors. I currently work for the Santalucía Group as Corporate Director of People Transformation, where I am responsible for promoting the digital and cultural transformation of this group which has more than 12,000 employees distributed among the 14 companies that make up the group. I complement this activity as an investor and member of WA4STEAM – Women Angels for STEAM – an association that seeks investment and support for startups in the world of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
I have dedicated a large part of my career to working in the Australian Brambles Group and more specifically within CHEP, a company that operates worldwide, being a leader in B2B solutions for its clients’ supply chain. In recent years I have held the position of Director of Digital Strategy for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as part of the leadership team of BXB Digital based in Silicon Valley. I have also held positions in Business Development and Operations for the Spanish business. My international career began as Human Resources Director in Italy and for Southern Europe, being responsible for People Strategy in the four countries of the region. I have a degree in Law from the University of Malaga and I am currently registered at the Madrid Bar Association, where I have been living since 2008. In addition, I completed a Master in Business Administration at IE Business School (2011), as well as the Senior Executive Program (AMP) at ESADE Business School. Recently, I completed my academic training by completing an Executive Program in Digital Business Management at The Valley Business School.
In 2016, I was selected to participate in the “Promociona” Executive Programme organised by the CEOE and ESADE with the support of the Ministry of Equality. I am also a member of the Eje&Con association. More recently, in 2019, I was selected, along with 4 other Spanish and 25 European Senior Executives, to participate and form part of EWOB – European Women on Boards – a programme supported by the European Commission to give visibility to women who are prepared to take up positions on the boards of directors of listed companies.
