UENI, a British startup based in London, has conducted a survey between 961 Spanish SMEs in order to know what they think about the most appropriate city to create new business in Spain.

As a result of the survey carried out, Malaga get the first position in Andalusia and the third position in Spain, only Madrid and Barcelona are ahead. Although not being among the five largest cities in the country, Malaga has exceeded cities such as Seville or Valencia.

Apart to choose the city, companies had to explain their motives, the survey included seven areas to evaluate. The most voted was the access to potential clients with more than 60% of votes. Also companies value our investment and financing funds (32%), also a 32% choose Malaga due to the offices offer among the city. Safety is also a great value with a 28%.

With this survey carried out between Spanish companies, we can conclude that both Spanish and foreign companies see Malaga as one of the best cities in Spain to invest.  Also Malaga is the first option for foreign companies in Andalusia so showed by the Barometer of International Business Climate made year after year.

In conclusion, we have to interpret these data as recognition of work made by Malaga to strengthen its business fabric. The city is betting since years ago to be one of the focal points of business in Spain. Some examples to do it is the incubator network among the city, where startups and entrepreneurs receive all support to assure a success business, also the city has many programs to facilitate financial and business advice, as well as projects in order to help in daily issues both employers and workers.
